Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Account. Starting with version 1.0.1, you create an account with an email address and password. Supabase processes these credentials to authenticate you, and we use an account ID to associate your kitchen and subscription with your account. Earlier versions created anonymous accounts identified by a random ID. We also store the name and kitchen details you choose to enter during setup.

Content you provide. The kitchen details you enter (ingredients, equipment), information about the people you cook for, your dinners and meal plans, and the messages you exchange with the in-app AI chef. If you use the photo feature, the ingredient photos you take are processed to identify items.

Usage and diagnostics. Product-interaction events (via PostHog) and crash, performance, and error reports (via Sentry), used to fix problems and improve the app. These records may be linked to your account ID and include device information. Billing diagnostics can include product identifiers, subscription status and expiry, and purchase-service error codes. Passwords and payment-card details are not included in billing diagnostics.

Purchases. Your subscription status and transaction identifiers (via Apple and RevenueCat). Apple processes all payments — we never receive your card details.

How we use your information

To generate and personalize your meal plans, operate and improve the app, provide support, and manage your subscription. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

AI processing

To create meal plans and power the chef chat, we send your requests and the relevant kitchen context (and, when you use that feature, ingredient photos) to our AI providers, Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini). They process these inputs to return results. These providers do not use your inputs to train their models through our use of their services.

Where your data is stored

Your kitchen data is stored with Supabase on cloud infrastructure in the United States, and is retained until you delete your account.

Service providers we share with

We share information only with the providers needed to run Chezmoi: Apple (billing), RevenueCat (subscription management), Supabase (authentication and data storage), OpenRouter (AI request routing), Anthropic and Google (AI processing), PostHog (analytics), and Sentry (diagnostics). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

Your choices and rights

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the app. You may also contact us with any privacy request at riley@perfectlyhuman.ai.

Children

Chezmoi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above and post the new version on this page.
